I've made a donut chuck,a jam chuck, and used a variety of the bowl jaws available. Finally, I've got a vacuum pump working and am on the last stages of setting up a modified version of Steve Schlumpf's fabulous "how to" post, but..... I still would like to do as much as possible while the bowl is on a chuck. Have any of you bought or made spindle extenders? Powermatic's is barely 2" long and doesn't seem worth it, and I've seen bestwood's which is
3 inches. I'm wondering what your experience has been with any of these or other brands?
Thanks, Hilel.

I have the spindle extender from Best Wood Tools. It also has the MT-2 inside the male threaded end. It is versatile, well made and I don't have any run-out problem.

I used a spindle extender on my Jet 1442 got it from Rockler it is from HoldFast. Liked it alot.
When I upgraded to the GOLD 3520B I bought the Powermatic 2" spindle extender. It is very heavy, I like it also. Machined steel. It's in the bag in the pic.

The HoldFast one was Aluminum.

I saw the offering at Rockler's but they didn't have a picture of it. Thanks for the input.

Here you go, a couple pics of it. They are Hollow so it will work with Vac. Chucking.;)
