Help with rounder plane

Anyone make the rounder plane from the Woodwright's Companion, pg 132-133? I can't seem to get the bedding angle correct or make decent shaving.

I dont have the book can ou discribe the issue??

I'm guessing your bevel on your blade is not steep enough if you think you bed angle is off and the plane will not cut..

A plane is a fixed chisel holder, think of it that way...
