This is a cherry bench I just finished.
The leg to seat joints are of the Maloof style joinery.

Here you go.

The curve problem ended up quite well. There's less than a 1/4" difference between the center and end legs.
The recutting the bench slab down the middle and regluing did the trick.

Brian the bench looks great, nice pics. By the way how did you get pictures that big on SMC. Every tim I try to load 2 small pic I took with a 2 megapixle camera my file exceeds the limit.

Hmm...I thought that I wasn't allowed to do that on the general forum but followed your suggestion anyway. Guess I was right.

Looks great Brian.. Nice smooth flow on the curves and the finish compliments. No one but you will ever know about the 1/4" unless they start measuring. And if they do call 911 and tell them you have an "intruder" in your home you just shot. :)
