Locally, well 35 mi. away, someone has a two year old oiled hobby used Kolbalt 60 gal. compressor, 135psi, 13.5CFM@90psi and 15@40psi. Asking price is $375 but if I get it tomorrow he will go to $300.

Good deal or not?

BTY - I have an airless 5.7@90 that is just too small for my HVLP gun, plus it's NOISY.

Yup..sounds good to me. I bought a twin piston 14.3SCFM 60 Gal compressor from Tractor Supply, made by Campbell Hausfield two years ago for @ $499? My accountant says pay no more than 60% of replacement cost for used equipment, so 60% of $500 puts you at $300 on the money! Fair deal if it runs, I'd make the seller fire it up before exchanging money.

This might be the same model that Lowes sells for $400. At $375 not such a deal. At $300 maybe.

It's a heavy duty compressor with nice flow but I just got the model # from the seller and found they clearanced them out for half price a couple of years ago for $250.

Thanks for the help.

My neighbor looked into purchasing one of these units recently. He told me that he didn't buy one because he found out there were some defective compressors and the blue borg was getting many returns. He's a stand up guy so with a pretty good mechanical background so I thought I would pass this on.
