Well here it is. My second hollow form ever. as you can see I kinda cheated on this one. I just kind of turned two bowls and glued them together. It's made out of birch and walnut. About 6" high by 5" wide. comments welcome. I can use all the advice I can get.

Hi Steve, there is no such thing as cheating, if it works for you then get and do it, Hollowing from the top bottom or built up from segments its all part and parcel, the only thing wrong with your turning is the picture itself, you hand held the camera and bad lighting got the shakes bit like mine:D The turning is fine keep turning them.. Steve- Another way you may wish to try is make a larger hole in the bottom of your next piece and hollow out as required and finally glue a wood plug back in the hole matching the grain up, this is just another way of achieving a hollow form, hope it helps you
