Another unusual lasering job here-- now I'm looking for an assortment of adhesive backed papers in different colors for a potential customer's project. She needs these to be a bit more robust than gummed shipping labels, and a quality adhesive that won't dry out and peel.

These will be cut into various animal themed shapes and used as decorators for pet picture frames. From the samples she showed me, I guess some people are pretty crazy about their goldfish. Well its a nice change of pace anyway!

Thanks !
Dave

Not sure if this is an option, maybe you should look into a colored cardboard and applying the adhesive yourself, a quality adhesive like 3M (which you can find in sheets).

Fasson Crack N Peel 60# Fasbrights

It comes in flourescent colors, matte finish, etc. Nice stuff. If you google crack 'n peel paper it will come up.

You might have to purchace the paper desired then apply transfer adhesive to it.

I use 3M 465 Transfer Adhesive tape in the 12" wide roll, and apply it to 1/64" plywood and .007" parchment paper to make peel & stick parts.

The glue is a gummy 2 mil thick adhesive with a brown waxy paper backing. It sticks to almost anything. I just unroll 4 feet worth on a table, and drop the sheet of wood or parchment on it, and use my J roller to smooth it flat, then trim with an exacto knife.

For those of us that use laminating films daily that's a good option, but if you have none it's $400/roll. Will there be enough of these made to recover that? You can by a lot of vinyl, even having someone plotter cut it for that much.

How about colored adhesive vinyl?

You don't want to cut that with your laser - vinyl = pvc = nasty stuff

If it's a job that takes a few minutes I would do it. If it takes all day, that's another matter.

What about colored card stock from Staples? Apply the sheet sticky backing?

Here is a poster paper you can print on, it is weatherproof: Magiclee PSA Poster Paper - 36 x 15 - 1 roll. $15 from paper.com, it has adhesive on the back, so you can make some very impressive stickers with it.

Has anyone thought of scrapbook paper. You can buy it with an adhesive back.
