Platter/bowl or what...

Hi

Made this thing, and used some Super Glue to stabilise the lighter part of the wood, during the process.

Turned out of dry Elm... Diameter 40 centimtres, and 3.5 centimetres high.
Sanded to about 320 - Danish Oil and buffed a little.
Got into trouble when i was sanding the bugger... :eek::eek: It started wobling around, even though the chuck was well tightened. Don't know if it was the heat from the sanding, but I had to stop sanding.

Here you se the platter from the side.

Bad photo quality... normaly I use daylight with reflectors, for my photos.
But this one is with the flash on.

Nice looking platter to me. I would say from the heat of the sanding it warped slightly by the looks of the last pic's.
