We're laser cutting some furniture pieces that have to be finished with water based primer/paint, the problem is it seems to draw the burn smell out of the wood.

Anyone have any solutions for this?

Thanks

I haven't really noticed that to much but don't have a lot of laser experience.

Shellac is the universal seal coat and is used to seal in odors much nastier than burnt wood all the time.

There is a shellac primer for paint, BIN I think it is that does the same thing.

Kerry,

Sorry to go off on a tangent that will do nothing to resolve your odor issue, but...
I see that you have a Z Corp 510 3D printer and scanner. Any chance you could upload some images of completed models? I would sure like to see what folks are doing with these RP printers and perhaps you could include how long it took to complete one.
You could PM me if it's easier but somehow I think anyone on the Creek would be interested in checking out 3D printing and scanning.

Thanks in advance! Cliff
