My most recent job requires retrofitting two shelves into an armoire. The client would like them to pull out. I could possibly use some standard side mount full extension ball bearing slides, however, the shelves are 3/4" so I'm hesitant to do so. I don't want the slides extending overtop of the shelves. I would like to use some side mount ball bearing keyboard shelf slides. Does anyone know of a manufacturer that makes something like this?

Whatever you do, look for slides which have an out detent. That is, they have something which holds them in the out position. Typing on conventional slides leads to a keyboard which is trying to run away from you. Slides which are sold as keyboard slides generally have an out detent. Sometimes the feature is called "Hold out".
