This is my second box. It has a nice suction fit and easier to open with the knob on top. It is cherry 5" tall x 3 5/8" in diameter. Home oil finish and beall buffed. Just got some renaissance wax in to try on the next one.
Thanks for looking.

Nicely done Steve,
I'm starting to try small lidded boxes myself, there not as easy as Richard Raffan makes them look.

Nice little box Steve, box making is great fun, and can be made from most any wood with no great expence, loads of shapes and things to do, nice to see guys haveing a go at boxes rather than bowls, i make them but not a real bowl man.
The fit of the lid can depend on the type of box lid you want, and they are as easy to make as you want, like most things the style and design can start to make them harder. Keep um coming..Geoff:D

Steven, nice box for your second attempt, as Geoff said there is loads of different designs out, in particular a book called Turned Boxes 50 Designs by Chris Stott, I think that will wet your appetite for doing more boxes, hope it helps.
