Photo Images

Hello,

I am just starting to use a Universal 4.60 60 watt laser, I laser photo on ceramic tile using a 120 watt epilog and the photos come out nice, however when using the universal the photos come out very blotchy and almost cartoon like. My question is: has anyone used a 60 watt universal for photos and if so what setting are you using and/or any suggestions on what could be the problem.

**It seems the lighter the image is, or the more light on the face of the image the blotchier or streaked it is***

Are you using the "photo" choice from the "Print Special Effects"? Or are you using Halftone or Error Diffusion?

Was it processed in anything, like photograv prior to importing it, or is this a straight photo?

If you can let us know what settings you used on those, along with speed/power/ppi/Image Density, I'm sure someone can help you.
