GE Stainless Stove Problem

I have a newer GE (less than 1 year old) stainless stove. It is the one with the burners made into the cook top. Heres the problem. The "HOT Cooktop" light stays on for hours even after the top is cold (sometimes all night). It doesnt affect how the stove works and there isnt any other problems it is just annoying. Has anyone had the same problem or know who I should contact to fix it?

Assuming its a electric stove, then it could be the burner/limiter assembly, sometimes seperate, and or the top burner switch.

No model so I can't find a wiring diagram on it.

But that'd be my first guess.
