OK, who here is doing 3-D engraving with their laser? Had my Epilog a few years now and its the one feature I haven't yet tried.
I can think of a few interesting applications. I wonder if I can take a photo of a stone wall, for example, and engrave a stone wall texture? :rolleyes: Surely its not that simple?

Its that simple , must be greyscale. Thing to remember is that light bits engrave shalower than dark.

David - go to gantryco.com and download their free sample 3D file. It gives you a real quick sense of what's right/wrong and how the end result should look.
Once you get that looking nice and you can get an eye for what the image looked like in Corel - then you'll have more confusion than you can deal with...

You can also test the attached file from gcc site.
Or you can crate your own simple file working with contur tool from corel.
