Nice work Tim. I like the detail rings on the mallets. Is that burned in with a wire? Alan

Those look awesome- how do you do the PVC? Do you buy a block and turn it down?

hi,
Alan, the rings are burned in with a wire.

Heather, the pvc pipe is from a plumbing supply , the wood is turned to the inside dia. and it is a press fit.
the charcoal and black pvc pipe look better longer than white pvc.the white shows marks quicker and looks dirty sooner.i use the thick pipe . i also drill and insert shot in
the pvc heads.the 1st pvc mallet is 23 oz. the 2nd pvc mallet is 20 oz.what i ment by turned pvc is on the first carvers mallet their is 2 small beads on the top and bottom pvc face, and i used a skew to dress up the face of the pvc.sand and use #0000 steel wool and the pvc shines.

thanks everyone
