Amazon is offering the 3520B at $2,657. WIth the $100 rebate good until the end of April, that makes it $2,557 delivered to the front door with no sales tax. It was good enough for me to place my order. The next best price was through ToolNut, but it required me to pick it up at the nearest terminal and I am without a truck. However, my pallet jack will come in handy no doubt.

Now to learn how to use it! Let's see . . . head stock; tail stock . . . which one is which??

Thanks for the good wishes!

Any recommendations for some good books on working the lathe? I've signed up for my local Woodcraft store's full day basic course on using the lathe. They will cover tool sharpening as well.

I also ordered a Delta industrial slow-speed grinder. I'll be getting the Wolverine sharpening system and switching out the wheels for the Norton 60 grit and maybe a 120 grit wheel.
