I just got a Stanley 80 cabinet scraper that was missing the blade (has all the rest of the parts). I was thinking of using an old panel saw blade I had hanging around, for the blade or maybe getting a think card scraper for the blade...
Anyone have a suggestion/advice

Thanks
James

If you go the route of making your own, via an old saw blade, I'd be interested to hear about your experience doing that. In particular how you wind up cutting the blade and then cleaning things up after.

If you decide you don't want to make your own, looks like you can get a replacement from Hock (http://www.hocktools.com/products.htm#SB).

Here's a link to the original Stanley guide for setting up the blade when you buy/make a replacement

Hope it helps....cheers
