This may sound like a stupid question, but I need some help. I am having a devil of a time installing a new blade in a 10" Hitachi miter saw (C 10FCD). The fit is way too tight and I don't want to force the blade in. Does it make a difference if it's a thin or standard kerf ? I can't seem to figure out what I'm doing wrong.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Have u disconnected the blade guard? A lot of cms guards unscrew and then swing out of the way so u can access the arbor better.

Reg or thin kerf shouldn't make a difference.

Make sure too that the arbor washer goes between the blade and the nut.

I just located the original blade that came with the saw. It is extremely thin, and fits right in, so am I right in assuming that's the problem with this particular saw.

I put a CMT melamine blade (reg kerf) on my Hitachi C 10FCD, with no problems. As has been stated, just make sure you remove the little side plates before attempting. I assume you already removed one blade from this machine, right? Do it in reverse.
