Does anyone know of such a group anywhere near Southern Maine? or SouthEastern New Hampshire?

You may want to try contacting the Rockler store in S.Portland. I believe that there is a WW guild who puts on seminars once in a while at the store. If you do find any info out please post it here as I would be interested also.

I will Greg. I'm actually from York so I'll try the Woodcraft in Newington as well as that is closer to home.

There is a turners guild in Maine as well. No affiliated just saw it on a FWW list.

Looks like they are based around the Augusta area. South China, ME is where they have most of their meetings it appears.
