Tigerwood?

Not sure where to post this...

But does anybody know anything about Brazilian Tigerwood as a furniture \ cabinet material? How it works, finishes, moves?

A fella I know fell into 43 5/4 12" wide 10' long boards and he's selling them for about $5 a linear foot.

Thoughts?

I believe it is also called Brazillion Koa wood.
For $5 a linear foot I'll take 2 boards :)
