Domino joiners

Has anyone heard if / when someone else will be coming out with a domino joiner? I like the idea of one, but at $700 the price is a little too steep for me to justify.

It's actually higher now after the 4/1 increase. No news of a copycat yet.

Go on the Festool Owners Group site and watch the classifieds closely. I've seen a few pop up but they're usually gone in an hour or 2.

I suspect Festool will have a monopoly on the domino for a while. You see cheap knock offs of the saw, but its been out for many years in Europe and the patent has expired. The domino is only a few years old, even in Europe.

You might try a 'want to buy' add on craigslist.org or festoolownersgroup.com. By the way, if $$ is the real issue, you can make your own tenons.
