I made this one and another for my daughters last X-mas.
Both took approx. 1 month to build and approx. $400. each in materials.
What was I on? Anything for daddys little girls.
This 1 is solid natural maple w/ 4 coats of satin polyurethane finish.
Box is constructed of 1/2" maple ply. Blum 1/2" overlay hinges.
Drawers are 3/4" material w/ dovetail construction. Steel draw guides.
Brushed satin nickle knobs.
Crown and base trim are maple as well and was crafted on my shaper.
The other jewelry cabinet was made from solid cherry w/ additional feature such as ring and watch compartments and as soon as I can find what I did w/ the pics I will be happy to post them.
PS, never give an empty wallet or jewelry box as a gift. Its bad luck.
The girls got diamond earrings.
