Hi there all,

I made the mistake of flipping through craigslist today and came upon a Hitachi B-600A bandsaw. It looks like it is in good condition but who knows from the photos. Apparently it is the predecessor to the CB75F.

It's specs are as follows:
"sawing capacity" - 310mm (12.2 inches)
"table area" - 450 x 456 mm (17.1 x 17.9)
blade - 6 - 75 mm (1/4 - 3 inches) x2812mm (110.7 inches)
wheel diameter - 410mm (16.1 inch)

The guy is asking $500 for it, I was not really in the market for a resaw bandsaw but something that can resaw around 12" and run a alebit expensive 3" blade is kind of enticing to keep in the back corner of the garage to resaw some lumber with.

What do you guys think of this?

I put the picture below

Well the current version is going for $1,950 on Amazon right now. From the replies to an earlier post I made the saws are under powered. For $500 I would look at buying it though. Motors are about $300 for a decent 2-3hp. That would bring the power up to par if you do decide its under powered and use the big 3" blade. And still less than half of a new one.
