Hi everyone,

Just purchased a used Gerber Dimension 200E and was wondering what software would you recommend? No software came with the unit.

I need to engrave tags (It came with the engraving attachment)
I would like to do 3D signage.
Typical cutouts for sign outlines and channel letter inserts, etc.

Thank you,
Craig

I also say Vectric --- V-Carve PRO for the 2D stuff - AND Cut 3D for any 3D stuff

V-Carve PRO does not do true 3D stuff

How do you run the machine? I mean does it have a computer built in to run the G-Code or do you hook it to a pc and software controls it? If its the later then you will need software for that as well and I recommend Mach3. I have a CNC machine I built and use Mach3 to run it and there is nothing better for a Windows machine.

If money is not an issue then you should also look at MasterCam X2, very NICE program for generating G-Code and designing 3D as well. It also does engraving and cabinet doors.

We use EnRoute pro for all 2d and 3d design and cutting. We have had no problems with a short learning curve when purchased. The tech support is also great.
