Question re Buckeye Burl

I have a piece of buckeye burl that has a crack running most of it's length. The crack is full of something that resembles bark and it's loose but I can't pull it out through the surface. Since I intend to hollow the piece should I put some CA glue on it to hold some of it in place or just hollow it and be left with a larger hole?

Anything that is loose is going to fly at some point and might contribute to a catch. If you can't remove it, secure it with the CA. IMHO, of course.
