I've been wanting a table saw and discovered a DW746 in my area with 52 inch rail system already attached. The man is asking $700.00. Brand new, they are at least twice that. This one is about 7 years old (he said) and still in great shape. Any particular reason (after a thorough inspection of course) I shouldn't jump on this?
Thanks for the help.
Mike

Hi Mike.

I have been using a DW746 for about the same amount of time. I've also got the sliding table. It's done well with everything that I've pushed through it. I'm using a thin kerf Forrest WWII for most stuff and switch to a 24 tooth dedicated rip blade when ripping thick 8/4+ hardwoods. It also works fine with a full width 8" dado blade. I guess the only thing I don't really care for is the mobile base. The Dewalt mobile base design levers the extension table up off the ground which doesn't work so well with the rather heavy overarm guard (Brett) I'm using.

Cheers,
