Has anyone used these vacuum clamps? Either the single or two sided version.

Jim, I think the one's you listed are self contained (have their own venturi) thus require only a compressor, while I think the one's Bill posted require a vacuum set up.

I saw those on a sales video blog not too long ago and they seemed liked they would work pretty good , maybe try a web search and see if you can find the blog I was talking about … but I do not have and or have never tried them, so I don’t know first hand..:(

Peter,

That's where I saw it.

I watched there vid and of course it works fine there.

I was/am looking for some unbiased experience.

Jim, et al

I have one of the two sided vac-clamps and two of the single sided (screwdown) vac-clamps. They work fine. They have very strong clamping pressure. I recommend getting your fittings and air valve at the same time.

As you have noted, the vac-clamps work on the venturi principle which requires an air compressor. They do not really require a large compressor - I use a small one gallon Sears unit. A larger compressor or holding tank would for fewer stops and starts of the compressor.

Thanks Pete.

Are they priced the same if you buy them from Woodcraft or some place else?

Does the two sided work as well as the single sided? Do you recommend one over the other?

What do you basically use them for? The video shows them being used for routering. This scares me a little. Have you done that?

Thanks for the air requirement info. They didn't say anything about that, or at least I didn't see it. I have a pancake compressor but also have a 60 gallon system that should be able to do the job.

Thanks,
Jim
