I haven't been very successful turning green wood. Lots of ka-boom, resulting in firewood. Here is a bowl I recently finished that actually survived. Nothing fancy, just basic. This one is walnut, and a gift for the uncle that got the wood for me. About 5" X 2.75". Check out those eyes. The eyes are the pith.
