I just started a new blog for my luthiery website, but it will have plenty of general hand-tool content as well, since I make these instruments mostly with handtools. I'm also a beta tester for Ron Brese's small smoother and I plan to post how that goes. I'm also planning a new bench this summer and this will be the place to share progress on that as well. Thanks for bringing back an old memory. Back in the 70's, in college, I was taking a portrait class - somehow the guy who wanted to be called "Johnny Persia" because his name was too difficult for western tongues found out, and wanted his portrait done. I agreed, and when he came by, he brought his oud, wanted it in his portrait, and of course he played a little for me. Nice guy, good memory, but just seemed to far apart to connect.
Thanks for bringing that back.
