I am about ready to taper some legs for a series of demilunes I am making. The legs are currently 1 3/4 square by 29 1/4.
Originally, was going to taper the four sides of each of the four legs down to 7/8.
Then I started to think it through a bit, and began wondering if I should only taper the inside sides of the "end" legs - which would allow a flush look against a back wall. The trouble with that approach, of course, is that the tapers might look a bit off of the center legs, assuming tha tI went for a four way taper there.
Then I wondered if I should go with a three way taper for the front legs, leaving a straight face showing.
So I left the home made jig on the TS for the night.
What have you all found to work well on demilunes? The table will have four legs, and the top should be about 38 x 18.
What have you done/what looks good/what are your preferences? Pictures, of course, would be particularly helpful
Thanks.
