These shots are of three brackets I made for someone out of clear, straight grain, air dried Western Red Cedar. They all came out of a 20' beam that measured 6-1/8" x 12-1/4". The three pieces used all of it less 5' of 4x6. The diagonals were cut from 6x8s. Despite its daunting size, it was remarkably light.....and expensive. So the saw had to perform or it was going to cost me dearly.
Using a 1/2" Timber Wolf blade, the MM performed flawlessly. Makes the $ spent on the MM16 well worth it!

Fritz, isnt it nice having a quality bandsaw in your shop? Im lucky, I have 2. Its a great feeling when you finish a project and all went well. I think the money I spent on my 2 bandsaws was the best investment I made in power tools. Nice work and enjoy that saw.

the wood thingies are large brackets which are a right-angled supports attached to and projecting from a wall for holding up eaves, beams, or whatever needs holding up. These three are both functional and decorative. The wood is dry, clear western red cedar and the larger of the two sizes' vertical member is 60" long to give you an idea about how large they are.

The curves were accomplished on my MiniMax MM-16 that is pictured below:
Cheers!

Frtiz, Nice work. I too have an MM16 and I just love it. I've resawn some hardwood up to 13" inches and it was a breaze. Even with a non carbide blade. I'm on the other side of the Bay near Palo Alto.
