Corel Draw Help with Text

Hi all I need a little help. I am trying to do an acrylic cut out of my sons name, but I want to keep all the letters attached at the bottom to the acrylic. Can some one help. Thank you.

Draw a rectangle below your sons' names and make sure they overlap just a bit, select both objects and click on the Weld tool. I think that should do it.
