Norm's Bermuda bench table combo

I am in the proccess of making the patterns for the Bermuda bench that was New yankee several years ago.A friend lent the plans to me.He hasn't built one yet.As i look at the plan the size of the table top seems a little too big for what Im planning to use it for, more of a grill caddy that can be used as seating in a pinch.I was curious to see if anyone had built this project and if you made any ,or wished you had made ,any changes to the original plans.I am thinking of making the width of bench and table top length and width to about 3/4 scale.
