Need to sharpen jointer knives

Hi,

I live in Vancouver WA area, just north of Portland OR. Does any one know of a good place in the area to take jointer knives for sharpening? What does it normally cost to sharpen 8 inch HSS knives? Is there a good mail order sharpening buisness out there? Do you sharpen your own blades? If so what equipment do you need? Thanks fo the help.

Only question I can answer is cost. My local (Albuquerque) sharpener charges 55 cents an inch for jointer or planer knives.

I've used these guys http://claremoretool.com/planer___joiner_knives.html and they did a great job on my 20" knives and a couple of saw blades. Prices were good (about half what Forrest wanted for knives) and their turnaround was fast. I'll be using them again.
