My BILs father in Phoenix took a Guitar class and built the most beautiful looking and sounding acoustic Guitar. I guess the shop needed a bigger jointer so they were kind enough to sell me this one for 150 bucks. Then he really went overboard and brought it all the way down to Tucson (100 miles plus). All I can say is thanks to the shop and Richard for bringing here. I can also say WOOOHOOO. What a deal.:D

Yes it's a 6" with a 4 foot table. In the Guitar shop the got a new one because this one leaves a witness mark. Easily fixable and not really an issur in the kind of work I do. It's jjuuussst small enough to sqeeze in the shop.:D

Looks like my 6" Grizzly that I bought last summer for $100. Mine has the levers, rather than the hand wheels. Go ahead and order some replacement blades from Global Tooling. About $20 for a set of three. Almost cheaper than sharpening. Heck with shipping both ways, they are cheaper than sharpening. I ordered two sets as the freight was almost identical. The knives that I got from Global were better than the original Grizzly knives, IMHO.

Nice find!

What jointer are you replacing with it, or did you not have one to begin with? Maybe you can sell your present one to Kyle...

My other jointer is a Festool hand held one with the table and fence assembly. Probably should have bought something else but I didn't have room for any that I'd seen. This Grizzly just barely fit in the spot. My shop is one tight squeeze when it comes to tool overcrowding.:o
