Hi this is from rockler. I like it but I know rockler is way pricey. Anyone else know where to get one from? Theres are 17x36 I was going to buy two to make them 34x36 out of maple.
Id like maple if possible.
The 40080 piece

Some "slap on" fluted column moulding, a scroll saw for the detail up top, and a lot of lap joints for the lattice, and that shouldn't be too tough a project to DIY.

I don't like the fact that the glasses are almost on the floor whre they can get kicked or dirty easy. Just my 2C.

I agree with Jason, but it would work well as a hutch.

I've seen these before -- it's designed to sit along side your upper kitchen cabinets. Problem is the only way they look good is if every cabinet in your kitchen comes from Rockler. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Im only using 40080. Nothing else, just the wine holder part. No need for scroll saw or matching cabinets etc. The wine bottle holder the cross shelving for a 17x36 runs $60 out of maple.
I dont think anyone caught that in my post?
Thanks for trying. Im still looking for another option on the rack only. I will try ikeas website.

Ikea has nothing. I couldnt find much in a search either. At end of day I might just buy the rockler ones if no-one else knows of any.
Thanks

I dont understand wht you just don tmake it out of maple or whatever. Ive done alot of wine racks and its just simply a lap joint. you can make it with a tablesaw and a router table pretty easily. Maybe Im missing something

And while you're making the wine rack (shouldn't take more than a couple hours), you can take your newfound lap-jointing skills and make a set of shoji screens. That should keep SWMBO happy for days!
