Best air filtering system?

Can someone suggest the best air filtering system for a shop that is 20' x 22' x 9'? I'd like to stay on the $200-300 range.
(I have a dust collection system already)

Have you considered making your own? It's a fun project. For about $150 (incl cost of blower and filters) you can make one that's custom sized and will work as well as the commercial units.

Shopnotes has a good plan for this in their 'Small Shop' issue.

The other nice thing is that you can size it to handle commonly available filters so you don't have to get expensive ones made only by the unit's mfg.

My shop is 25' x 20' and the JDS 750 cleans the air pretty efficiently. After seeing how they are made there isn't much to them. A blower, cabinet, two filters and controls; like Shawn said it would be fairly simple to build.
