I have a job coming up that requires engraving on a fiberglass material. The fiberglass is a building grade material, so is pretty dense. Any experience with fiberglass out there? Any suggestions?

One of those that you may have to try before knowing if it will work.
I've done it once, on customer provided material. It does engrave and I was able to cut it but with a lot of char. It was about 1/16" thick and more like the stuff made for roofs on sheds. I also found that even with a small amount I had to clean lenses/mirrors, due to debris from it.

I cut 1/32 filon (a form of fiberglass) all of the time. I use mid power and 80 speed. I have only engraved it a few times but the discoloring was high and was not deep enough to color fill.
