Vector cutting magnets

Hoping someone can help me. I cut a sheet of magnets last night with my helix 24 45 w Epilog. I used vector settings of 10 speed, 65 power and 500 frequency. Lots of small magnet material and residue around magnet (doing gold w/black lettering). Should I change settings or should I cut from back of magnet? I have done 1 sheet, but need more. Thank you for any help. This is my first "real" job with my machine.

Tim, I have limited experience cutting magnets - 1 job. However, I got that residue when using too much power/too slow. I believe I used 15/100 on a 35w - 3mill magnet.

Cover the top surface with transfer tape before cutting to keep it clean.
