Hey Turners,
I had been looking at a couple of rests for bowls this last week for my 3520b, and didn't like the $59.99 price for each the inside and outside rests, so I thought maybe I could make a couple of them and save some $. Below is my adaption of two I saw earlier this week. The 1" post stock and the 3/16" x1-1/2 " flat stock cost me a total of $8.10. The outside one is 8-1/2 " long and the inside one is 5-3/4" long. I bent them at a suitable radius, just welded them up square and instant tool rests. I have since even painted them with Mustard color paint that HD matched to my original Powermatic post, with their color match system. A quart of Mustard paint for $9.99.
All in all a good deal, I think. Total time to make 1-1/2 hours.
