Well this weekend spent it shooting the finish coat of Blue/Gray on the base part of my 12" Crescent jointer. After it dry I then lower the 300+lbs base onto the moble base so that I can move it around the shop when needed.Casters are rated for 1000lbs each so it does move preatty easy.To this point from tearing it down to primer coat it has taken me alittle over 3mos.And I have enjoyed every minute of it.Post some more pics in about another month,if things go well. Thanks for looking CJ Courtney

Very nice Carroll. Is the paint wet in those photos or is it just a glossy paint?

I like tinkering with machines too, as long as the fastners are not too rusty.

Its gloss,I will be mounting leveling mounts to help with keeping it in place.Waiting to fine some that under the 10.00 mark.Maybe 1/2 to 3/4 by 4"-6" tall. Thanks for the comments guys

Interesting base that you built. Will the wheels be in the way of your foot work when jointing boards or will they be tucked back in under the jointer beds?
