A week or so ago I disassembled my Tormek to clean it and found that the main shaft was covered in heavy rust and the washer on the backside was rusted to both the insde of the wheel and the shaft. I called Sharp Tools USA for replacement parts and found that they are now making them out of stainless and I ordered two sets, one of them for a friend who found he had the same problem, for about $65 delivered.
Only people who live in subtropical areas of the country seem to be having this problem according to the people at Sharp Tools but those of you who do live in such areas might be interested.
The kit included a shaft,nut, washers and two new bearings which I thought was reasonable.
