I just went to the local hvac store to look at ductwork they had 26 guage normal ducts and sprial ducts. They said the spiral was much stronger but $$$. I can use normal 6" 26 guage correct?

Also they didn't have any nice long y adapters or much in long radious elbows but what they did have was some very thick flexable tubing that was smooth in the inside and had kind of spryal wrap metal on the outside. Can I use this in sections to get around obsiticals? Below is what it was.

Under applications they even list dust collection. I have just not seen anyone else use this that is why I am wondering but seems like it will work well.

I just posted this on your other thread. It may fit here better.

Grizzly sells a flexible metal pipe that would probably work as well as the SpiraTube. Plus, if your whole system is metal, using metal flex pipe would insure that the system is fully grounded for static discharge without having to run extra wires to jump the SpiraTube. If you care about such things. ;)

I don't know how well Grizzly's price compares to the SpiraTube pricing.

What I like about the pvc is it was compleatly smooth in the inside. I will look at the grizzley stuff.

Also is normal 26G ducts ok I don't need the spiral ducts do I?

26 gage snap lock is exactly what you would have been getting from Oneida. It's what I have my duct work constructed from and has been working great since 2000.
