Jerry Allen has donated one of his
Compensating Tool Rest Angle Gauge Kits which includes:


A rest angle finder which compensates for wheel wear for 8"-5"
diameter, and blade thickness.


A wheel guage which allows grinding wheel measurement with guards in place.


A tip angle gauge.



"This item will not work on some thick tool rest platforms and is intended for Veritas type grinding rests. I would also like to get some feedback on different rests.


As shown below, I am using it on a CSUSA Apprentice tool rest with an 8" Woodcraft Grinder. It will also work with 6" grinders."

Jerry bent over backwards to get the Compensating Tool Rest Angle Gauge Kits out to me. I was out of town for a week and it came it while I was gone. I opened the package on the 28th. WOW! I was so busy last week that I had ZERO shop time. :(

I will have time tomorrow and I will use it and give you a review. From what I see, it is VERY easy and staight forward to use.:cool:
