I'm starting my next psyco turning. This one will be giving Monsoon a run for its money. Please join the poll as to weather I should post pics as I build or a documentary when I'm done. Thanks everyone.

I say go with the documentary at the end idea. It'll give people a chance to see the whole process, and they won't have to worry about missing a certain update.

Just my 2c.

I like the idea of seeing the inprogress photos.

I couldn't choose BOTH. ;)

I like seeing in-progress pics and would LOVE to see and read the documentary with pics of course at the end. :D

Bill,
One more vote for both, if its not putting undo pressure on you.

I'll do both. I'm going to do this one a little different. I'm building the feature rings first. I've found that this should make everything else easier. I believe Malcolms book suggests this method. It does seem to make everything else anticlimatic though. We'll have fun.:D I'll post one of the decorative segments tomorrow.

I agree with the both and the final article put in the section of Sawmill Creek for articles. Not many articles there. I thought there would be a bunch..

Ok, I'll start with this little tease. This is to be one of the segments of the feature ring. I'll post a pic of the finished segment then tomorrow I'll post how I did it.

post pics but never of the whole thing so that we dont know what the whole thing looks like till the end. but take enough pics so that you can post it as a tutorial for segmented bowls

I voted for the progress photos. I would like to see both though. When you o your final write-up, you can just link to the pic's allready uploaded. This will save some space on the Creek server.

BTW, what is the size on that segment?

Could you please post a photo of Monson. I searched the forum but couldn't find it. I'm very impressed with the items of your I did find and would like to see a step by step photo essay. I hope you get time to get busy!

I never even noticed that section. I'll post there too when it's done.

Bill, thanks for posting both in progress and the entire process. As someone who hopes to turn in the future, I think posting as you go would allow others to ask specific questions about a particular point in the process. Can't wait to follow along with you!

Three slices, four pieces....yes a slice at a time, please, followed by the total, or however you wish to do it...just do it. Really enjoy seeing your imagination in action.

At the snails pace I'm going would anyone like to build as I go? I'm taking detailed pics of each step this weekend. I'm not gonna win any races. If anyone will, I'll be happy to help any way I can.
