I am cleaning up an old Delta Bandsaw and it still has the original cord in perfect shape. It does not have a ground terminal however. If I wanted to run a ground wire, would I just attach the ground to the engine, or is there more to it than that?

On the motor housing should be sufficient. Under an existing screw for instance.

Don't run a separate ground wire. Replace the cord with new round machine cord having 2 conductors + ground. The ground wire can be connected to any screw in the body of the motor.

If you have a switch box mounted on the frame of the saw, it's best to attach a second ground at the switch box. One way to do this is to run cord from the plug to the switch, and the motor to the switch, then attach the two ground wires with a pigtail that will be attached at the switch box.
