I recently posted a photo of my wall hanging, “ViewPoints” and received numerous e-mail questions regarding its construction, etc. I wish I had shot some video as I created the piece, but I didn’t (hindsight is 20/20). I did have a few “leftover” components on hand, so I put together a little video and I’ve posted it on YouTube at:

It’s there for those that are interested. I’m no Spielberg, but I am enjoying learning about video shooting and editing. Love to hear any comments or suggestions regarding the video.

Very nice Malcolm. I must have missed that one. That is quite clever. Thanks for sharing your techniques too. I'm starting another intricate one myself. Might be a while before I post it.

Malcomb is that you tele skiing at the end? Now I am impressed. I like your turning art. Your videos are entertaining as well as informative.

This is my son tele skiing in the backcountry near Libby, MT (Poorman Basin). Have fun skiing and keep making those segmented turnings for us to drool over. John

Thanks for the explanation video. That does help but doubt if I will ever get to try it. The music was great as well, one of my all time favorites.

I enjoyed your video, Malcomb, and admired the piece on the wall. I even picked up a couple of skiing tips.

John, I can not tell a lie - that is me at the end making a couple of turns. These days, I mostly teleski; it's a lot more exercise. I watched your son making his turns - looks like he knows what he's doing.

Amazing art work. I guess I didn't see all the views on the still you posted. How do you go about figuring the positioning of pieces to make the three scenes? Or is that a artists secret?

You may be in the wrong vocation. The video is great and the music makes you want to get up and do something!
