Here is a commission I just finished. I haven't heard of a jerky board before and was unable to find anything similar that wasn't dedicated for just cutting jerky.

I came up with a pair of pockets (only one is shown) at 1/8" and 1/4" deep. A 1/4 round nose bit makes a channel around the recess and out to allow easier cleaning and blood overflow.

It hasn't been used yet but I am awaiting a report. In theory it should work good. Maybe some other home butchers will get some use from it.

Almost forgot. 16 3/4 x 22 x1/ 1/4 thick. Made from 6/4 maple/cherry. Finish is plain mineral oil.

Almost forgot also: Yes the sapwood was on purpose. Also under the camera lamp I see a router mark I didn't catch before. Better now than later.

That looks nice, I like the interlocked checkerboard pattern.
