Does anyone know of a source for 1/4" thick by 6" wide Alder? 24" length
would be ideal, 12" would work.

during my searches for various suppliers I've resorted to scrollsaw suppliers from magazines - this one has 1/4" alder listed. Never used them but at least you have a baseline source.

I think Colorado Heiloom will cut it for you.

I've used their products and have found them to be a great company. The onwer Paul Anthony is a member here.

Greg,
Another source might be some of those wood-turner catalogs like Woodcraft or Packard.
You also might want to post a thread over in the wood turner's forum.
Steve
---- Edit
Okay - goofed that one - went through my old links and Packard doesn't carry Alder and Woodcraft only carries the veneer... Sorry - try this link and dig for a bit...

I have some I am not using right now. How much do you need? If I have enough I can send it to you. It is 1/4x6x12

Hi Gregg;
I don't have alder but do have 5/32" x 5.75" x24" unfinished cherry, walnut, maple, and jatoba in whatever quantity you need-see the LaserArts Freestuff drawing.
Best regards;
George

Jerry,
Thanks for the offer, but I think the customer has decided on Maple which I have on hand.
