They are birdseye maple finished with clear poly and curly maple with a bit of spalting finished with tung oil, both are around 6" x 2". I'm rather fond of this style as it gives me more room for ice cream :D, even though the curly maple one you will have to eat it fast:eek:

I REALLY like that Birdseye bowl. Great form on both. But I REALLY like that Birdseye bowl!!!

Very nice work Rick! Good form and finish on each! Birdseye looks great but have to love the curly! Lookinf forward to seeing more of your work!

Very nice wood indeed, the form is good. I think though that they are a bit small for Ice cream, should make nice dip bowls though;)

I like the Birdseye best myself, It's one that I turned almost entirely with the termite tool I picked up at the beginning of this month:D. I reallly like the final cut I can get with that thing.
