Here is another one of those "paperweight" or, as someone called it, "big nut" type of bowls. It is 9.5" high by 9" wide with the walls being nearly 2" thick and weighs 10 pounds. I made it especially for our hospital show which runs all next month. It is an annual fund raiser hosted by the Friends of the Hospital. As you can see, it is very wormy (managed to shred at least one of the worms during the turning process) and has some pretty wild grain, bark inclusions and cracks. It has two coats of tung oil so far, I will put on at least two more coats, but I photographed it before it got glossy.
